Orlando, we have arrived!
After extensive preparations for the trip, the time has finally arrived to start our journey. The only things that were standing between Orlando and us were “only” 20 hours of flight time, 3 airplanes and 5.800 kilometers of geographical distance. Flight time passed relatively quickly with the awesome bunch of people, messing around and socializing. We had the opportunity to visit New York briefly, buy several souvenirs and set our way to the final destination – Florida.
At the airport we were greeted by Michael Aldarondo-Jeffries, McNair director who was accompanied by our colleagues that have participated on this student exchange in the past few years.
Since our flight got delayed in New York a little bit and we got to Florida pretty late, we more than welcomed the idea to go to sleep earlier so we would be ready for all of the experiences that our generous hosts have prepared for us. Next day has many meetings with important people from the University in store for us who will try to get us acquainted with the student reality on the University of Central Florida.
