Day 1
Our first day begun with gathering at student's dorm in Varaždin, I almost fell asleep, but luckily I was ready to go and next thing you know, we were on our way to Plitvice Lakes. I haven't visited Plitvice in so long, so this visit felt like I was the first time there.
We walked a lot, but at the end of our tour, I was so exhausted in a good way and full of impressions and I'm glad that our guests for impressed with the national park as well.
Then we went to Split, and on the way we stopped at the restaurant Macola. I finally got some time to talk with American students about stereotypes I was bothered with, and their impressions of Croatia in general.
I broke my first stereotype!
Americans, as we "know" them are not uneducated as they are represented to us in media. Media, unfortunately give us examples of only "the bright ones" and that's how we create our image about the whole nation. I was relieved.
In Split we settled in a great hostel Golly & Bossy, we refreshed ourselves and relaxed a bit and then we went to the city to look for dinner. After we filled our empty stomaches ( :D ), I believe every single one of us went to bed satisfied to get our deserved relaxation.
So far from me, read the other blog tomorrow! :)
