Bonjour! Hello there!

So, this was our last day in the amazing Laval in France. As you can see our last blog post will be written in English since a lot of our new international friends from the IP e-Discovery program wanted to read all our blog posts from the very beginning but they couldn`t since it was all in Croatian. And we decided to change it - better late than never, right?! :)

Our last day here had begun pretty early. Getting up, taking a shower, getting ready, having a breakfast, going through the final presentations, putting together all the Log files, Intelligence reports, Memo, Abstracts... we needed to finish so many things before 1 p.m. sharp as our dearest Carla like to say.

When we came to the university, they gave us their final instructions and schedule for today. Then they divided us into the two groups and we started with our presentations. We noticed that the most of the people were pretty nervous and scared, but Croatian crew was calm and we really couldn`t wait to show all our work and applications in front of everybody.

After the three long hours all ten teams have presented their final conclusions regarding to their topics and recommendations for the European Commission. They even told us that they will choose two teams out of ten. Those teams will go to the conference in Helsinki in Finland in July this year and present their findings in front of European Commission and Interpol who actually gave us the data on which we were working for.

But before getting the results and official closing ceremony Croatian people (as usual) served the launch to all teams and (as usual) had a lot of fun while dealing with sandwiches (Ham and Cheese, Chicken, Vegetarian – Water, Coca-Cola, Ice tea).

After the launch we were all so excited and couldn`t wait for the results of our exams that we took a previous day and of all other outcomes we needed to handle in.

After some time and after we evaluated the whole IP program, we came back to the main room and waited for the results.

Carla told us that she was SOOO proud on all of us since we all passed the exam and managed to finish the investigation process while dealing with the completely new topic, working with people we never met before and following the model we never heard before. She gave us a big applause and it was really so nice to see all our happy and satisfied faces after really, really intensive program and so much work during the last two weeks. Yeey!

We got our certificates and of course was posing in front of the camera a lot that afternoon.

After that they announced two teams who will go on next competition in Finland in a few months. Team 8 and Team 9 were the chosen ones. Congratulations to our Dijana Grd and Boris Kišić from the team 9 as well as to Maja Lalić from the team 8 and good luck in Finland in July, guys!

Those sweets that you can see in the picture below are/were actually presents for our teachers Boris Tomaš and Neven Vrček who were taking care of us, as well as Zlatko Stapić, during the whole IP program. But since they left Laval a few days ago, Zlatko took their presents and we decided to (at least) take a picture of those sweet presents that we couldn`t resist to try. :)

In the evening they prepared us a Farewell party with so much nice food, bowling, free drinks for getting strikes, dancing, again eating and so on :).

So, the conclusion is that we really had such a good time and learned so many new things, met so many interesting people from the six more countries all around the Europe and made so much amazing memories that we will remember for a long time.

Thank you FOI for giving us the opportunity of being a part of this IP e-Discovery program and visiting France in general.

We gave our best to show our University and our country in a best way and regarding to all feedback we got from other students and teachers, we think we made a good job here. See you soon in Croatia! :)
