What were your expectations, did you have any before arriving in Croatia? How did you find and how would you describe FOI students, how did the host you? |
FOI students went the extra mile to host us. They provided us with extra information and made sure that everything we needed was taken care of.
What did you learn about educational system in Croatia and are their similarities in the USA educational system or differences that you would like to highlight?
I learned about the focus on acquiring languages are a very young age. I wish that this was the focus in American schools.
Would you like this exchange program between the UCF McNair Scholars Program to become a tradition and would you recommend it to your colleagues?
This exchange program should continue because students learn more about the world by being a part of a cultural exchange program such as this. This has been a life changing experience.
What is the McNair program and how does it help you as a student?
McNair as a program helped motivate me to earn my Ph.D. It has also provided me with assistance searching for scholarships, preparing for the GRE, conducting research and visiting graduate schools. The entire experience has motivated me to give back to others and constantly motivates me to do better. McNair helped to improve my self-confidence. McNair has motivated me to do better and to strive to achieve above my potential.
